An inspired choice of instrumental from @mipsomusic I think we all appreciate a little new blood in the tune game. #whiteface #fiddle #oldtime (at City Winery NYC)
You Can be a FiddleStar
I post things about fiddling. And how we can all be better at it.
Loving @thesteelwheels at @citywinerynyc tonight. This is an example of a great band. Greater than the sum of its parts and very aware of what works for an audience. Well done. #bluegrass #oldtime #fiddle #banjo #bass #mandolin (at City Winery NYC)
And we managed to catch up with a regular camper, now dear friend, Holly Gregory, while we’re here. Fabulous lunch - we could have spent the whole afternoon laughing together. Another example of “those people” we let into our house all the time for camps. People seem to find it surprising but we can’t imagine our lives without them. #nashvillemandolincamp #nyc2016 #ladieswholunch (at Esca Restaurant)

I can sail without wind, I can row without oars, but I cannot part from my friend without tears. #nyc2016 #friends #rolemodels (at New York, New York)
Not good at following orders. These ladies are the best role models. #nyc2016 #traveler (at Chelsea Piers)
Thanks to my husband and everyone at @cartervintageguitars for a fabulous night. I’ll remember this for a very long time. #chrisstapleton #mickeyraphael #traveler (at Ryman Auditorium)
I’m trying to get #sirwinstoncup to watch the #westminsterdogshow with me but he’s pretty sure he’s already #bestinshow #bostonterrier #bostonterriercult #flatnosedogsociety (at Fiddlestar)
A bright spot in my weekend - getting to reconnect with this beautiful girl. A former fiddle student and always friend, she was staying with my family during her theater grad school auditions. If only had it together as well as she does back when I was her age… Send her a good solid “break a leg” if you don’t mind… #actress #fiddle #familyiswhatyoumakeit @amourspreads (at Castro Valley Bart)
It snowed for three days in a row this week in Nashville but a short plane ride and I’m back to the family homestead and this view out the kitchen window. #californiagirl #backhomeagain (at Hayward, California)

I am excited to embark on a new chapter of my working life - I recently gave my notice to the Pam Tillis organization and will no longer be touring with her or Lorrie Morgan (on their awesome Grits and Glamour Tour). I must admit, I'm sad to be leaving. It's been an incredible four years and I have learned so much. Thanks to Pam, her amazing husband/manager Matt Spicher, and my bandmates, especially the lovely and talented Mary Sue Englund, with whom I spent more time over the last few years than I did with my husband. And I wouldn't trade a minute of it...
