Good times at the Nashville Palace yesterday. (Thanks for hanging out @elliehakanson!) Just a reminder that if you come visit Nashville and you head straight downtown to listen to live music, you’re missing out on so much of what this town has to offer. My friends in @50shadesofhayband are playing some of the best classic country and Western swing I’ve heard and you can find them most weekends over by the Opry, where there is ample parking and not a bachelorette in sight. Oh, and Noel Haggard was also there hanging out so we got to catch up and reminisce a bit about the time I opened up for him in Hayfork, CA when I was probably 11 or 12. (Remember that, Dean Boring?) Just loving this town right now and so happy to celebrate the musicians who make it all go around.

Hey friends, there are still a lot of us with post-covid #parosmia and now that I’m vaccinated and restaurants are opening back up and we’re able to travel and all those fun things, it can be really challenging for those of us who are still smelling sweet rotting garbage instead of burgers and fries, or whatever. Just a quick shout out to my friends and loved ones who have been so cool about checking in with me regarding how and where I can go out. I’ve tried all the remedies and nothing has worked just yet, but I have high hopes that it will get better eventually and in the meantime, I look forward to sitting out on a patio or eating sushi (two things that seem to be pretty foolproof for me at the moment) with all of you soon. 💙

Well, I did it. I took my fully vaccinated self out to dinner with my fully vaccinated friend @elliehakanson and then we went to the @stationinn1974 to see @fireballmail with special guest @jennyannemannan and it was weird to be in places but also great. It was lovely to catch up and have some fiddle chick moments with Ellie and Jenny Anne both. The energy at the Inn was intense and I was honored to meet some of JT Gray’s family and cheer on some musicians just trying to bring some joy into the world. Here we go, I guess.
