You Can be a FiddleStar
I post things about fiddling. And how we can all be better at it.
On our walk today - the road ahead and the road behind. We turned around. #springinthesouth #thestormiscoming (at Fiddlestar)
And here we go. Anyone wanna swing by and make me a pair of boots? #itsthattimeofyear #snakeskin #swingingdoors (at Fiddlestar)
If he learns to use the remote it’s all over. #sirwinstoncup #bostonterrier #bostonterriercult #flatnosedogsociety #dogswhocanchangethechannel (at Fiddlestar)
Sunday at the Chownings - #sirwinstoncup #nascar and the calm before the storm. Banjo camp last weekend, fiddle camp next weekend. Today we recharge. And make bunk beds. And order camp food. And welcome registering mandolin and fall fiddle campers. But with a few minutes of recharging in between. (at Fiddlestar)
As a #fiddle player, having great #banjo players around at all times is one of the smartest things you can do. As you can see by these photos, my mama didn’t raise no fool. #rileybaugus #adamhurt #nashvilleclawhammercamp @clawhammerist @rileybaugus (at Fiddlestar)
Getting ready to go in the camp recording studio. This is a feature that only #nashvilleacousticcamps offers. The campers get really scared and really freaked out and then they get really proud of themselves after it’s all done. Just like any life challenge… #nashvilleclawhammercamp #banjo #fiddle #clawhammer (at Fiddlestar)
Spent the morning playing the @citywinerynsh Bluegrass Brunch with these fine hamburger eaters. @spicherdavid not pictured but trust me, if I had taken his picture he would have looked just like these. Thank you to everyone who came out to see us. We had a fabulous time! #bluegrass #brunch #burgersforbreakfast (at City Winery Nashville)
You have to watch where you step at our house this weekend. #nashvilleclawhammercamp @clawhammerist @rileybaugus #banjo #banjocamp (at Fiddlestar)
And so it begins… The actual banjo playing edition. #nashvilleclawhammercamp #banjocamp #banjo #thumbsup (at Fiddlestar)

I am excited to embark on a new chapter of my working life - I recently gave my notice to the Pam Tillis organization and will no longer be touring with her or Lorrie Morgan (on their awesome Grits and Glamour Tour). I must admit, I'm sad to be leaving. It's been an incredible four years and I have learned so much. Thanks to Pam, her amazing husband/manager Matt Spicher, and my bandmates, especially the lovely and talented Mary Sue Englund, with whom I spent more time over the last few years than I did with my husband. And I wouldn't trade a minute of it...
