You Can be a FiddleStar
I post things about fiddling. And how we can all be better at it.
We’re back folks. And this time we’re in the Windy City. See: my mom’s hair. More adventures to come this week… #Chicago #motherdaughterroadtrip (at Chicago Lakefront - Gold Coast)
First night in our back to back #motherdaughterroadtrip August extravaganza finds us having dinner with Chicago bluegrass legend (and my mom’s main client as a booking agent) Greg Cahill and his lovely wife Jackie. @shawscrabhouse for an old school vibe and lots of laughs. #Chicago (at Shaw’s Crab House)
Come to camp. See the kitchen. See it from the dining room. You couldn’t do that before. #lesscabinetspacemorejoy #discobacksplash (at Fiddlestar)

One of the absolute highlights of our recent trip was this dinner with these two lovely people. The conversation was lively and varied - jokes and poignant times and keen insights everywhere! These two are funnier in their second and third languages than many people I know are in the first. Also, fabulous food and perfect service, ftw. Much love for this four hours of our lives… #stockholm #motherdaughterroadtrip #dinnerpartyperfection (at Bar Nombre)
Dipping our toes in the Baltic Sea on the way out of town. #stockholm #motherdaughterroadtrip #bythebalticsea (at Hammarbysjöstad)

I am excited to embark on a new chapter of my working life - I recently gave my notice to the Pam Tillis organization and will no longer be touring with her or Lorrie Morgan (on their awesome Grits and Glamour Tour). I must admit, I'm sad to be leaving. It's been an incredible four years and I have learned so much. Thanks to Pam, her amazing husband/manager Matt Spicher, and my bandmates, especially the lovely and talented Mary Sue Englund, with whom I spent more time over the last few years than I did with my husband. And I wouldn't trade a minute of it...
