Hey everybody! Meet Lucy and her awesome brand new fiddle, on loan from the California Bluegrass Association lending library. She’s a very talented young lady and she’s just moving into a full size fiddle and as her parents look into buying her one, this is a perfect way for her to get used to playing on a big girl fiddle in time for festival season. It was donated to the library by a student of mine and it’s a great instrument. And since Lucy is also a student of mine, it feels extra special to be a part of making sure young people get the best possible start in playing traditional music. You might think some of the cruise excursion activities are cheesy, and sure, you’d occasionally be right. But in our experience, you should always take the interactive tours and whatnot.
