One year and 25 days ago my friend @tristanscroggins moved to Nashville, Tennessee and we were all delighted just to have him here. This weekend he got to make his debut at the legendary Ryman Auditorium playing the mandolin with venerable Opry members, @officialdaileyvincent. I’m just really proud of my friend and grateful to be able to sit in the audience and cheer him on. He’s a great person and a great mandolin player and he deserves all the things. I’m so proud of Anne Duffus. She’s only been playing for a couple of years and here she is performing a fantastic tune she wrote. It’s a beautiful melody and she plays it with such consistent tone and rhythm. Anne works hard. Anne loves music. This is often where people would normally write “Be like Anne” but I’m not feeling that as the lesson here. 😉 Truth is, we should all just try to be the very best versions of ourselves and if we can learn anything from Anne, it’s just the reminder that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams.
