Adult Fiddle Camp
May 8-11, 2008Come join us in beautiful Ridge Top, TN for a long weekend retreat of great fiddling and lots of fun. Every day we will work on fiddle tunes, learn how to rehair bows and do basic fiddle repair, take hikes, learn to dance to fiddle music, and lots more. Incredible instructors wil help you improve your technique, your improvisational skills, and anything you can think of to become a better fiddler. There are several hotels and inns within a couple of miles and a few spots will be available (first come, first serve) for on site lodging at camp.
Instructors include 6 time National Champion Megan B. Lynch and recording and touring (John Cowan Band, Asleep at the Wheel) star Barbara Lamb. Stephen Mougin of the Sam Bush Band will also be teaching a special singing workshop. We will also be joined by several Nashvile-based special guests!
Camp Tuition - $350 (includes meals but not lodging), Lodging on site at FiddleStar Camp - $100 (after April 15 add $25 to each fee) All student fees include camp t-shirt. All travel expenses are the responsibility of the student (except transportation to and from the airport – we’ll come get you!) but FiddleStar can help you find the best travel deals – just let us know if you need help.

Youth Fiddle Camp

Come join us in beautiful Ridge Top, TN for a week of great fiddling and lots of fun. Every day from 9-3:30 we will work on fiddle tunes, learn how to rehair bows and do basic fiddle repair, take hikes, learn to dance to fiddle music, and lots more. We’ll even get a chance to record in a real recording studio and the students will get a CD of their hard work! Of course there will be a final concert on Friday evening and the kids will get a chance to show off all they learned.
Instructors include 6 time National Champion Megan B. Lynch, Touring and session hotshot Aaron Till, Infamous Stringdusters fiddler Jeremy Garrett, and Lonesome River Band bassist Mike Anglin. We will also be joined by Nashville-based special guests!
Sleepover students are welcome. There will be adult chaperones on site at all times. All meals will be provided for sleepover students. Day camp students will need to have a parent or guardian drop them off and pick them up each day. Lunch and a healthy snack will be provided for those students.
Day Camp - $300, Sleepover Camp - $500 , Parent Sleepover - $150 (after May 31 add $25 to each fee) All student fees include camp t-shirt and CD.
